Final Project Idea

For my final project, I have two game ideas as to what I want to create. The first one was going to be a platform game, where there are thin rectangles floating on the canvas moving side to side depending on location and user has to press the space bar to propel ball to land on one of the platforms. I am not sure if I will be doing this because I am pretty sure it has to do with acceleration and being able to keep the ball in the "air" as user keeps pressing on space bar. I could run into the issue where the user clicks on the space bar and the ball just shoots up to oblivion.

The second idea I had, which might be what I will be going with, is a screen filled with shapes (could be the same or different) and user needs to click on as many shapes as possible before the timer gets to zero. Or, the user has to select all of the same shapes within a set amount of time. Ideally, the game would reset if they won or lost and they would have to choose a different shape.
